Mountains & Minds: Lectures & Outings Around Science The Big Sky Institute hosts scientists and naturalists for lectures and outings about the science and nature of Big Sky and the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Topics range from historical geography to bird watching to hot spots of Yellowstone. These events are free and open to the public.

Science Fridays On the third Friday of each summer month, we host nature and adventure activities for families, couples, and anyone interested in outdoor discovery. Activities are professionally lead by experts in science, nature, and adventure, and are a great value for a day of fun and science.

Take a Hike Teaming up with the Big Sky Hikers, BSI offers two science and nature hikes to explore the Greater Yellowstone on foot.

Science Activities for K-12 Through Camp Big Sky, BSI is offering a variety of fascinating summer science programs for students of all ages.

BSI Evening Gala Every summer BSI hosts an evening gala on our property in Big Sky, located next to Ophir School.
