Big Sky Community Education Partnership

One of BSI’s missions is to provide enriching, educational, and interesting programming to the public. Though living just 43 miles away from one of the country's top 100 universities, Big Sky residents have unique educational needs that are not directly served by Montana State University. The MSU & Big Sky Community Education Partnership will produce an unparalleled educational opportunity for Big Sky residents and businesses--one that is customized to serve the unique needs of this community. The MSU & Big Sky Community Education Partnership is a two-phase, two-year program. The first phase of the program has been completed and included a comprehensive community needs assessment and development of a high-tech distance learning facility. The second phase of the program will be development and implementation of the community education program. Phase one will be completed in the first year, and phase two will begin as soon as possible thereafter. BSI has finished collected surveys regarding this program, but we are still interested in gaining as much input as possible from the community about what types of courses and programs they would like to see offered. A distance learning facility has also been constructed at the BSI office, and is available for use by the community.
